July Nature Summer Camp
4 camp days (7/28, 7/29, 7/30, 7/31)
9:00am-12:00pm

Camp Experience
At our drop-off Nature Camp, we provide a blend of structured activities and unstructured play, we cultivate a deep connection with the natural world while fostering creativity and curiosity. Our curriculum is designed to inspire a love for learning through play while promoting academic and gross-motor skills, while enriching social-emotional growth. The children will engage in cooperative play, learn to communicate effectively, demonstrate risk-management skills, practice critical thinking, and develop resilience by navigating challenges in a natural setting.
Camp may get muddy, messy, or both!
Camp Routine
9:00am Arrival / Bathroom / Introductions
9:30 - 10:00am Hiking
10:00 - 10:30am Lesson on the trail / snack
10:30 - 11:00am Hike back
11:00am Bathroom
11:00 - 12:00pm Open play in Nature Space /
Drop-Ins arrive
12:00pm Dismissal / Dismissal snack
Camper Supplies to Bring / Wear
Weather-appropriate play clothes
Shoes- hiking sandals or hiking shoes
Sun hat
Small personal hiking pack (about 10L)
Full reusable water bottle
2 snacks in reusable containers
Change of clothes (including socks & underwear)
Preferred sunscreen & insect repellent
(Optional) change of shoes
CANCELATION/ REFUND POLICY:
EMAIL us at foothillslittleexplorers@gmail.com at least 24 hour BEFORE camp begins if you will not make class.
There will be no refunds or credits for a missed camp day.
PARKING DIRECTIONS:
Use 820 NC 126 Morganton, NC 28655, for the address. Please park in the gravel parking spaces. You will walk up the hill to the Foothills Little Explorers Nature School.
WEATHER AND MAKE-UP CAMP
CAMP RUNS IN ALL WEATHER (even the rain and snow!)
Camp runs in temperatures with a forecasted "Real Feel" at or above 20° Fahrenheit and at or below 100° Fahrenheit.
Camp will be cancelled if dangerous weather is forecasted.
If a camp day is canceled by Foothills Little Explorers, an email will be sent out at least 1 hour before the start time. Refunds will be given if the camp is canceled.
Please check your email 1 hr before EVERY camp day.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!
We do not tolerate inappropriate language, or physical violence to others or property.
